Map for Learning: The Difference Between Profit and Cash Map

This process map illustrates the flow of cash, the need for cash throughout the business process, and the fact that cash is very different from the concept called profit.  We have found that employees, managers and leaders (yes, everyone in the organization) are a bit murky about this difference, and that a visual showing how cold hard cash flows out days, weeks, and even months before it flows back in is an eye-opening lesson.
